Ultra-Light Solar Power for HF Radio

Our panels were designed by HF radio operators with HF operations in mind.

For example, they’re configured with ARES/RACES-standard Anderson PowerPole(tm) connectors that plug directly into the existing distribution panels used for HF applications.

which is to say, everywhere! No matter how far “off grid” you go, Satoshi Solar will keep your radio running.

What's more, 100W of power in full sun means our panels produce enough power to run almost any man-portable radio.

If 100W is not enough, there is a whole world of off-the-shelf adapter cables (you may already have some!) that connect to the PowerPole connectors and allow you to configure multiple panels for more power.

IMPORTANT!

Since HF radios are very sensitive to interference, we recommend taking a few precautions when configuring your system:

  • Don't use USB powered devices near your radio, or plug them into the solar panel, while operating your radio.
  • Some lithium batteries may contain load balancers that produce interference. We recommend LiFePO4 batteries from Eremit (Germany).
